An interest in the decreasing numbers of the Eastern Bluebird prompted the Matthes family to establish a Bluebird Trail with over 100 houses. Since 1989 it has added hundreds to the Bluebird and Tree Swallow populations.

Their bright blue beauty and melodious song also makes the farm attractive for group bluebird/farm tours.

Often you can watch the bluebirds nesting, and maybe catch a glimpse of a deer or cottontail rabbit.

Group tours of the farm are offered, by appointment, during the spring, summer and fall months. These tours are great for schools, garden clubs, senior citizens, and nature lovers of all ages.
